Before Version 0.7, all of AZKi's skills (and her weapon Diva Song) were based on her status as one of hololive's VSingers alongside IRyS.
The use of "Diva" (Diva Song, Virtual Diva) is directly inspired by AZKi's full name and title being Virtual Diva AZKi.[1]
Encore!, Full Concert, and Performance are based on her activities at INNK where she primarily does real concerts. Extended COVID-19 lockdown and the end of the original project plan for AZKi would result in her transition towards more streaming-focused content later on.[2]
The icon for her former skill Virtual Diva was based on the the second iteration of her design by late artist Kogecha.
AZKi's 2nd outfit is the one she is known for after she joined INoNaKa Music (INNK), which was a music label and independent sub-branch of hololive.
This outfit was added to HoloCure as an alternative outfit in Version 0.6.
AZKi's third alternative outfit for HoloCure with its more idol-like appearance is based on her third design, which was the result of a restructuring of her character and activities (known as "Route Beta", as opposed to "Route Alpha" which would have seen her graduate after finishing a pre-planned timeline of activities under INNK)[2] in early 2021, which eventually led to AZKi joining hololive as a member of JP Gen 0 following the dissolution of INNK as a separate entity in April 2022. At the time when AZKi was added in Version 0.4, the third design was her latest outfit.
AZKi's first alternative outfit, which was introduced in Version 0.5, is based on her first design before she debuted under INNK.
The Virtual Saber skill is likely a reference to the Holo no Graffiti episode titled "[Anime] Babysittr",[3] in which AZKi is briefly seen wielding a saber near-identical to the one in the skill's icon. This scene quickly became a meme, especially within AZKi's community following the release of the episode, and was even discussed by AZKi herself on a later stream.[4]
Geo Queen and Geographer are part of AZKi's kit rework in Version 0.7 to make her gameplay more distinct and incorporate her fourth design, along with referencing her newly-found love and affinity for the game GeoGuessr.
