Stage
Stages are where the characters battle their fans in HoloCure. There are currently six stages in the game. Each stage is available in Stage Mode and Endless Mode, and one stage is available in Time Mode. Higher stages reward a higher HoloCoin multiplier, but will require higher upgrades to play effectively. A green check mark will appear above each stage that has been successfully completed (on a per-character basis, and only for Stage Mode and Endless Mode).
Stage Mode
Stage Mode has the player face waves of various enemies and bosses. The stage ends once the player defeats the stage's final boss, which appears after 20 minutes, and the next stage will be unlocked.
A bonus amount of HoloCoins, whose amount is dependent on how many HoloCoins were collected, will be granted to the players upon successful completion of the stage. It is calculated by the formula
floor((haluBonusCoins + enemyDefeated) * 0.25 + clearAmount)
where clearAmount is 500/1000/2000 for Stage 1/2/1H as of version 0.4.
Endless Mode
In Endless Mode the player faces waves of enemies, but unlike Stage Mode, the waves will keep coming until the player loses, with enemy stats scaling up over time.
Hardcore
Hardcore is a self-imposed challenge for Endless Mode that can be toggled on or off in the Shop Upgrades menu, free of cost. Once toggled on, the player will have only 1 HP and the amount of Score earned will be increased based on how long the player survived. Note that Hardcore does not affect the amount of HoloCoins the player earns.
Time Mode
Added in Version 0.5, This mode focused on defeating a set number of enemies in as quickest time as possible. All upgrades are standardized at the start.
This mode is hidden at the start of the game. It will be available when Time Stage 1 is unlocked.

Tips
- Stage Mode's completion bonus makes it generally better for obtaining HoloCoins than Endless Mode.
- However, the bonus given when using Halu makes Endless Mode generally better for farming large amounts of coins.
- Hardcore
- Body Pillow is a must-have item Hardcore mode, due to its shield being the only reliable way to protect the player from damage; though if that isn't enough, then Headphones can be used to occasionally negate a hit. Healing items, such as Nurse's Horns, Uber Sheep, Just Bandage, and Full Meal, completely lose their effectiveness in Hardcore due to the 1 HP mechanic; Plushie and Piki Piki Piman also loses its effectiveness in Hardcore due to it's mechanic requiring one to take damage towards health.
- Buff items like Face Mask, Sake, Energy Drink and Injection-Type Asacoco become more desirable in this mode, as their debuffs become irrelevant due to how the mode works - Face Mask's take more damage debuff becomes less relevant as the enemies can defeat the player with one hit (although it will make the Body Pillow receive more damage if the player has both items), Sake's crit buff will always be active for the rest of the run, Energy Drink's Max HP reduction is ignored due to the player only having 1 HP, and Injection-Type Asacoco's health drain does not trigger due to the player already having 1 HP - allowing characters to fully benefit from their buffs without worrying about their penalties.
- Ouro Kronii is a highly effective character in this mode, not only due to her crowd control abilities via Time Bubble, but her Perfection skill also remains active due to the need to completely avoid damage. In particular, the 1 HP maximum means Kronii can benefit from the use of Injection-Type Asacoco while still keeping her Perfection skill active.
- Upgrades like Max HP Up, Defense Up, Regeneration, and Food Drops Up should be refunded and be put on other upgrades as they have no use when Hardcore is enabled.
- Some characters have skills that can still benefit from healing items and upgrades:
- Ceres Fauna's Guardian Tree: Nurse's Horns, Uber Sheep, and Food Drops Up upgrade.
- Tokino Sora's Idol Healing: Full Meal, Nurse's Horns, Uber Sheep, and Food Drops Up upgrade.
- Nekomata Okayu's Yummy: Uber Sheep, and Food Drops Up upgrade.
- Yuzuki Choco's Nurse: Full Meal, Uber Sheep, Nurse's Horn, and Food Drops Up upgrade.

Trivia
- Holo Office existed in the game code prior to its release in version 0.4, although it was incomplete.[1]
- Due to the game calculating the visible minutes instead of the total minutes elapsed, it is possible to get a higher score by finishing a run at the 59-minute mark than finishing it one minute later (increasing the hour by 1) when playing in Hardcore mode.
