A-chan
A-chan is a boss-type enemy in HoloCure. She appears in Stage Mode and Endless Mode at the 20-minute mark during Stage 2.
Defeating A-chan in Stage 2 will unlock CEO's Tears.
Behavior
When she spawns, all previous enemies will disappear. A large red circle will indicate where she will initially spawn, and the player must quickly move out of the way. She will be followed by an army of Loyal Soratomos.
While flying around the player, she will periodically shoot streams of blue bullets and periodic rings of red bullets, in danmaku style. At regular intervals, she will stop moving and darken the screen to perform a larger attack, alternating between rings of turning bullets, and a stream of bullets that sweeps around clockwise. Once defeated, she drops 6,000 EXP and a Holozon Box.
Due to A-chan's unique movement pattern, her speed value doesn't reflect her actual speed during gameplay.
Trivia
- Before fighting A-chan, you can see her sleeping at one of the office desks, shown below. After the fight starts, the desk will be empty.
- A-chan as the final boss of the office stage is a reference to her appearances in HoloGra specifically when she was lecturing the girls for repeatedly breaking the office windows.
- A-chan appearance in game is based on her two Live2D model. The shop version is based on her initial model while the boss version is based on her latest design.
- Friend A (友人A, Yūjin A) name and initial design was created by Sora based on A-chan real name and appearances.[1][2] At that time, "Yuujin A" was supporting Sora from behind the scene even before she officially joined Cover. She received an update design along with 3D and Live2D models after she join the company.
- A-chan can be considered one of the founding members of Hololive and Hololive Production despite the fact that she didn't join the agency until later on. According to HoloTalk with Sora and A-chan, A-chan was the one who helped Sora get in contact with Cover and YAGOO and the partnership between the two resulted in the creation of Tokino Sora the VTuber and the agency that would later become Hololive.[3][4]
