EXP
EXP (or XP), short for experience, is required to upgrade the player character while in battle. The player's current EXP is shown in the blue bar at the top of the screen. When this bar fills up, the player character will Level Up.
Obtaining
Enemies drop EXP pickups upon defeat, with higher level enemies dropping more EXP and boss-type enemies dropping large amounts of EXP. Harmless enemies do not drop EXP. The EXP drops are triangle-shaped, referencing the hololive logo, and come in different colors, indicating the amount of EXP they contain. When many EXP drops of a single type are in a small area, they will merge to form a single EXP drop of equivalent value, to save on game performance.

In order to collect EXP, the EXP drop must be within the player character's pick up radius. This radius is further improved by the Pick Up Range shop upgrade. Summons, like Bubba and Friend, can also pick up EXP on the ground. EXP picked up this way will also fill up the character's EXP bar. Their pickup range will be equal to the character's pickup range.
The amount of EXP obtained can be further improved with the Study Glasses item and by purchasing the EXP Gain Up shop upgrade.
Level Up

After collecting the required amount of EXP the player gains a Level Up, allowing them to upgrade their equipment or gain other perks.
EXP Magnet
An EXP Magnet, also known as Rainbow EXP, has a 1/3000 chance to drop after defeating an enemy. When picked up, all the EXP and HoloCoin drops in a large area will be rapidly vacuumed towards the player character's position. This drop appears similar to the regular EXP drop but will be in a cascading rainbow-color instead of a static color and around twice as large.
The drop rate of EXP Magnet can be increased by equipping the Super Study Glasses item, which doubles the chance of an EXP Magnet appearing.
