Halu
Halu is an item in HoloCure - Save the Fans!. It is unlocked by completing the Delusional achievement, which requires defeating at least 5,000 enemies in a run. Players will receive the achievement whether they win or lose the run.
Halu increases the spawn rate and strength of enemies, and rewards bonus HoloCoins at the end of a run.
Upgrades
Behavior
Each upgrade adds 2 to the enemy spawn rate, resulting in an increase in the effective spawn rate of new enemies by between 15% to 70% of the base spawn rate at most times, depending on how long the player is into the game. Each upgrade also buffs the ATK,
HP, and
SPD of each enemy by 10%/15%/20%/25%/30%[incorrect tooltip?], depending on the upgrade level. When Halu is selected or upgraded, the buff is immediately applied to future spawns and all enemies on screen that have not been damaged.
The HoloCoin bonus only affects enemies that were defeated after Halu was first selected; however, the number of coins gained is applied retroactively to this total using the coin per kill rate of the item's upgrade level when the stage ends. As an example: if you have defeated 2000 enemies after taking Halu, and have Halu at level 4 when the stage ends, you'll get 1000 HoloCoins, regardless if you took the 4th Halu level in the middle of the stage or at the end.
Although not listed in the item description, level 4 grants the player 1 HoloCoin for every 2 targets defeated since taking the item, and level 5 gains 1 HoloCoin for every target defeated since taking the item. The amount of coins gained from Halu is only affected by the stage coin multiplier.

Trivia
- "Halu" is an Indonesian slang term derived from the word "halusinasi", which in English means "hallucination". It is typically used to refer to delusional and/or wishful thinking, especially in regards to imaginary relationships, e.g. fans claiming that a particular talent is their spouse. The term was popularized after hololive Indonesia member
Pavolia Reine explained this term in one of her Indonesian Class sessions, only for that term to be used on her.
- Coincidentally yet fittingly, "halu" in Finnish refers to craving, desire, or lust.
- The item sprite being a glass of water is a reference to someone being "thirsty", which is internet slang referring to someone openly displaying lustful desire towards someone.
