Notes

• A max rank Kusogaki Shackles will completely negate this item's defense loss.

Tips

• Most useful in Hardcore Mode; since the character's health is set to 1 HP, consequently making any hits instantly fatal, Face Mask's debuff is rendered irrelevant, making this item a straight attack buff in that mode.

Trivia

• The item could be a reference to the COVID-19 Pandemic, where mandatory mask regulations were common. The impacts of various COVID-related restrictions, especially social distancing initiatives, has been attributed as one of the major reasons for the VTuber boom of 2020 and beyond.
• It could also be reference to a common disguise used by idols/celebrities in Japan to remain anonymous while in public, which involves a common face mask and sunglasses.
