Behavior

For the purposes of this item, "receiving damage" is only counted as a loss of HP from being hit by an enemy. If the player is hit while the Body Pillow Icon.pngBody Pillow's shield is active, the Sake buff will not be removed, as long as all incoming damage is absorbed by its effect. Similarly, if the Headphones Icon.pngHeadphones item or Gawr Gura Icon.pngGawr Gura's Short Height Icon.pngShort Height skill causes an attack to miss, the Sake buff will remain. Additionally, the persistent damage from the Injection Type Asacoco Icon.pngInjection Type Asacoco does not cause the buff to be removed.

The Super version of this item includes the +5% crit buff from eating food. The aiming penalty for the Super version can be negated with a max rank Kusogaki Shackles Icon.pngKusogaki Shackles, or by being used in Snow Flower Sake Icon.pngSnow Flower Sake.

Tips

  • Best used on members that can generate food items to maximize uptime of this item's additional 5% CRT bonus, like Nekomata Okayu Icon.pngNekomata Okayu and Yuzuki Choco Icon.pngYuzuki Choco. Inugami Korone Icon.pngInugami Korone can also work but her stats and kit is not as specialized for critical hits.
  • Combo with the increased food drop rate from Uber Sheep Icon.pngUber Sheep to maximize the uptime on the additional CRT bonus.

Trivia

  • Similar to BL Book Icon.pngBL Book, Sake is a reference to multiple members of hololive, but more specifically to one for whom the item is a staple. In this case, while there are several drinkers among Hololive talents and Japanese sake is a popular beverage among them, Yukihana Lamy is the one with whom sake bottles, like the one depicted in game, is most commonly associated with. She is often depicted in both 3D and 2D streams with a sake bottle, including one episode of Holo Graffiti.[1]
    • Lamy has her own official sake line whose creation she helped supervise, which won a Bronze Medal at the International Wine Challenge 2022. [2] [3]
