BL Book

BL Book is a weapon in HoloCure: Save the Fans!. It is unlocked by default.

BL Book spawns book projectiles that circle around the character repelling enemies.

Repels targets with orbiting BL Books.

Add 1 additional book.

Level 3

Increase damage by 30% and increase duration by 1 second.

Level 4

Add 1 additional book.

Level 5

Increase radius and spinning speed by 25%.

BL Book's attack time cannot be reduced below 300 (5 s).
As opposed to the description, level 3 actually increases the duration by 3 seconds from 120 (2 s) to 300 (5 s).
- This makes the duration equal to the attack time minimum.
Books apply a small knockback on hit.
BL Book is affected by the area increase of Knightly Milk.

Trivia

"BL" is an abbreviation of "Boy's Love", a genre of romance novels. Several Hololive members are fans of BL novels. Although the reference can be attribute to multiple talents, the specific implementation likely inspired by Houshou Marine and Hoshimachi Suisei.
- Marine is known for her appreciation of BL work^[1] and is referenced with the sprite design.^[2]
- The gameplay function is likely referencing Suisei, who has previously used her sister Anemachi's BL books to ward off ghosts^[3]. This also explains why the BL Book collabs with the Psycho Axe.
This weapon is a direct analogue to Vampire Survivors's King Bible.
