Hatotaurus, and she has three other unique skills:
Cheerful Laugh,
Mama, and
Omen.
Mio, alongside the rest of GAMERS and JP Gen 0, was added to the game in Version 0.4.
Main Weapon
- Main article: Tarot Cards
- Tarot Cards is affected by the area increase of
Knightly Milk.
Special Attack
- Creates a single area where enemies are continuously damaged.
- The area is horizontal only. The direction depends on where Mio is facing.
- The damage reduction buff is applied immediately, but punches start after a 0.42 s delay.
- Damage reduction stacks multiplicatively with other damage reduction effects.
- Ignores knockback resistance.
Skills
- The proximity damage multiplier of this skill is calculated by the following formula:
proximityDamage = 1 + ((1.1 - distance/maxDistance) * maxDamage/100%)
- Omen has a 0.17 s cooldown.
- Defeating an enemy with Omen subtracts 1 second from the current cooldown of Mio's Special Attack.
Overview and Tips
Ookami Mio is a character with a kit built for close-to-mid range combat, with her Cheerful Laugh and
Mama skills requiring her to stay close to enemies for maximum effect, and while her
Tarot Cards lack the consistent area-of-effect damage of other close-range character attacks, the wide spread and fast attack speed coupled with the
Omen skill gives her decent crowd-control ability. Despite this, Mio benefits more from items that improve ranged combat weapons rather than melee weapons due to
Tarot Cards being a
Multishot weapon.
Mio is highly dependent on her Special Attack, Hatotaurus, to deal the majority of her attack damage and crowd control, facilitated by the
Omen skill drastically reducing its cooldown time through kills, and items like
Idol Costume to further reduce it.
Hatotaurus should ideally be cast as often as possible from the moment it fully charges rather than being reserved for select situations.

Trivia
Omen and
Tarot Cards reference Mio's penchant for doing Tarot readings, which Mio herself considered to be more of a type of life advice stream rather than a mystical act.
- The image of the icon's Tarot card seems to depict a ruin of a Tower, which fittingly for HoloCure is associated with things like danger, crisis, sudden change, destruction, higher learning, and liberation.
- The
Hatotaurus is a mascot created by Fubuki during a multi-agencies-themed collab. As a joke, Izumi (Mio's character designer) recreated the character in his art style, and it ended up later receiving a rig from a Hololive staff member. The now-rigged Hatotaurus was sent to Mio, who played along and put it in a corner of her stream, where it would menacingly watch over everything.[1]
- The Hatotaurus appeared with Mio during the Hololive x Azur Lane collab, where it was drawn in a way to resemble a Stand from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.[2] HoloCure's gameplay implementation is a direct reference to this stand-like image.[3]
Cheerful Laugh references Mio's distinct, explosive laughter.[4]
Mama references Mio's motherly personality.[5] The icon is based on a Japanese kindergarten hat.
