Body Pillow is an item that gives the player a shield that absorbs a certain amount of damage, and slightly reduces damage taken. It is unlocked by default.

Gain a shield that absorbs up to 20 damage. Every 15 seconds, this shield refreshes. Also reduces damage taken by 10%.

Level 3

Gain a shield that absorbs up to 25 damage. Every 15 seconds, this shield refreshes. Also reduces damage taken by 10%.

Level 4

Gain a shield that absorbs up to 30 damage. Every 15 seconds, this shield refreshes. Also reduces damage taken by 10%.

Level MAX

Gain a shield that absorbs up to 35 damage. Every 15 seconds, this shield refreshes. Also reduces damage taken by 10%.

Super Body Pillow

Gain a shield that absorbs up to 40 damage. Every 15 seconds, this shield refreshes. Also reduces damage taken by 15%. When shield is full, heal 10 HP every 3 seconds.

Notes

• Because the Body Pillow's shield is not considered as HP, any "On Damage" effects or effects related to HP loss will not trigger while the shield is up. However, "On Hit" effects will still trigger when the shield is hit.
• If Plushie or Injection Type Asacoco is equipped, the gradual damage or HP drain over time will first affect the shield before affecting the character's HP.
• Damage reduction stacks multiplicatively with other damage reduction effects.

Tips

• Body Pillow synergizes well with characters whose skills require that no damage be taken, such as with Ouro Kronii's Perfection skill, and AZKi's Virtual Diva and Performance skills, as the shield prevents them from taking health damage, allowing their Skills to stay active even when taking enemy attack.
• An indispensable item in Hardcore Mode, as it is the only way with which to reliably protect the player's HP against enemy attack.

• The picture on the body pillow appears to be that of COVER Corp.'s CEO and founder Motoaki Tanigo, more affectionately known as "YAGOO" by employees and fans alike.
  • The choice of YAGOO is likely a reference to the "YAGOO is best girl" meme. The meme is born both as a method of preempting any waifu/best girl wars that tends to crop up in anime fandoms as well as a form of appreciation for the work YAGOO has done for hololive.
  • The name YAGOO originated as an intentional misreading of the Kanji for Tanigo(谷郷) by Oozora Subaru. The joke was spread by Subaru and gain popularity both within COVER Corp./hololive as well as with the fans leading to Tanigo himself changing some of his social media handle to YAGOO.
