Similar to the rest of HoloCure, Holo House mode also contain a multitude of references to Hololive from items, iteraction and more.

Specific Character Interaction

• Nemu will praise and worship you if you are playing as Ceres Fauna. It is implied she insists on paying for the materials which is why they aren't free for her.
• Bloop will act threatened if you are playing as Gawr Gura.
  • The scenario goes exactly as Kay Yu predicted when the actual Gura played the update. The moment she interacted with Bloop, she immediately threatens him for the rods earning her the appropriate response from Bloop.
• The forest behind the main Holo House has four Takodachis looking at a suspicious black book, one of which is hidden behind the foliage. The group will normally not react to the player's presence, but approaching as Ninomae Ina'nis will make them run away.
  

  Sneaky Takodachis.
  • The presence of 4 Takodachis likely references "The 4th Wah", aka the hashtag #4thWah, which was a fanart hashtag that was used to contained NSFW drawings of Ina from showing up in her main fanart tag.
    • Wah is Ina's singnature verbal tic. Ina has a habit of saying multiple wah at once but never more three at a time. This caused her fanbase to theorize that wah is some kind of rule and that the missing 4th wah is forbidden. Ina would later use this popular theory to create the #4thWah tag after an explosion of NSFW fanart. The common interpretation of the four wahs are: 1) We are Happy. 2) We are Hype. 3) We are Here. 4) We are H*rny (forbidden).

Items and Objects

Fishing Minigame

• Caught sharks have hair clips very reminiscent of those Gawr Gura wears.
• The existence of both regular and golden fish variants, as well as the rarity of the latter, calls to mind Shirakami Fubuki's attempt to catch a golden Magikarp and her resulting mantra of despair, "Akai na..." (lit. "It's (another) red..."). The fact that one of the catchable fish is a koi (Magikarp's Japanese name is コイキング/"Koiking") makes this more obvious.
• Axolotls are likely based on the Hololive's Axolotl craze after Minecraft's Caves & Cliffs update. The blue coloring of HoloCure's axolotl is similar to the rarest variant of Minecraft Axolotl which was highly desired by various Hololive members creating an entire industry in the HoloServer. The most famous of these attempts was Amane Kanata's which took over 3000 axolotls and 27 hours. The moment became so iconic that Kanata would create a mascot based on the blue axolotl name Upao based on the Japanese term for axolotls, Wooper Looper (Upa Rupa).
• The shrimp are likely a reference to the regular form of the Chumbuds typically seen in Gura's stream as opposed to the Q inspired design used in HoloCure as an enemy/helper.
• Aside from the Beginner's Rod and Golden Rod, all the rods are reference to specific members and memes associated with them.
  • Dad's Rod is a reference to Mori Calliope with its red and black palette being similar to Calli. Its name and description reference Calli's Dad nickname that is popular among her fanbase due to Calli's tomboyish mannerism that highly resembles a stereotypical American father. The term Uncle Dad came from Calli's dynamic with Kobo Kanaeru where she acted as a father figure for Kobo but cannot be her father as she is not married to Kiara, Kobo's self-proclaimed mother.
  • Blacksmith-Made Rod is a reference to Kaela Kovalskia who is a blacksmith according to her lore. The description emphasis on "many, many, MANY hours" is a reference to Kaela's infamous streaming length where she would stream for over twelve hours and only stop to either switch games, do off-stream work and maybe sleep (for a max of 4 hours a week). Unlike most of Hololive's other endurance streamers, even management gave up on making her to stop and only due to the increase of non-streaming workload did Kaela reduce her streaming hours (but not play hours).
  • Atlantean Rod is a reference to Hololive English's Atlantean Sharkgirl Gawr Gura. The mention of an unfinished Atlantis is a reference to Gura's unfinished build project on the former Hololive EN Minecraft server. The project started during the early days of Hololive English in 2020 and as of 2024 remained mostly the same with only a brief expansion period after the JP-ID-EN server merge where Gura returned to Minecraft only to leave again. Being reminded of Atlantis has since become a recurring joke between Gura and the Chumbuds with a notable instance being the time she read this rod description in-game after Version 0.6 Release was released.
  • Turkey Rod is a reference to Hololive Indonesia's Peafowl Princess Pavolia Reine. Reine being called a turkey is a meme that was based on an earlier meme involving Takanashi Kiara where due to Kiara's association with fire (due to being a phoenix) and her owning a restaurant (KFP) resulted in her being called a (fried) chicken. Reine was hit by the same joke due to the continued popularity of Chicken Kiara and a moment during her debut where she was gaslighted by her chat.

Farming

• The specific pink coloring of the onion is a reference to Minato Aqua whose hatless head when view from above look similar to that of a red onion.

• The character depicted on the Body pillow is Harusaki Nodoka.

Living Room

Fubuki eating burger by Kay Yu

• The Fox Burger Chair is based on one of Kay fan-animation specifically the Fubuki eating burger animation used by Fubuki herself in her pre-start screen.
• The Retro Console is likely based on the North American Super NES console but colored red instead of its trademark purple.

Decoration

• The Berry Plant is likely based on the Minecraft's Berry Bush which was the center point of many shenanigans within the various Hololive Minecraft Servers.
• The Shark Plush is likely based on Ikea's famous Blåhaj sharks albeit with its blue shade being closer to Gura.
• The Boxing Dummy is based on the Koronesuki who are frequently used as stress relief target for Korone.
• The Baegemite is based on the (in)famous Australian condiment Vegemite which a favorite joke gift by Hololive resident Australian Hakos Baelz hence it name.
• The Taiko Drum is based on Natsuiro Matsuri's start screen which features an Ebifrion Taiko drum. This is the 2nd reference to Matsuri's taiko with the first being her special WASSHOI!.
• The Vampire Coffin is likely a reference to Hololive former member Yozora Mel and her vampire lore.
• The Shrine Box is likely a reference to Hololive Elite Shrine Maiden Sakura Miko.
• The KFP Bucket is a reference to Hololive English Takanashi Kiara whose lore includes the fact that she own a fast food chain called KFP (Kiara Fried Phoenix). The bucket is a former emote and later a member icon for her membership.
  • Despite the obvious allusion the fried chicken chain KFC, KFP signature dish is actually its chicken burger, a fact that even the KFP employees themselves frequently forget.

Wall

• The Hanging Vines could be a reference to a Minecraft practice of using the vine item as decoration.
• The Painting D is based on Vicent Van Gogh's Starry Night Painting
• The Oni Swords are based on Ayame's Dual Katana, Rakshasa and Ashura.
