The Tower of Suffering.

The Tower of Suffering (labeled as Cute Girl Ahead by the sign at the crossroad) is a mini-game in the Holo House. It is located in the far east side of the Holo House map. Here the player must jump over platforms to scale a large tower in order to reach the "Cute Girl" at the top. Players can collect HoloCoin Icon.pngHoloCoins along the way to create checkpoints for 100 coins each to save their progress, and the player can then warp to closest checkpoint by pressing CTRL. Progress can be reset at any point by pressing Restart.

Upon clearing the tower, the following information will be displayed:

  • Final time
  • Total jumps
  • Total falls
  • Checkpoints used
  • HoloCoins collected
  • Bonus HoloCoins will also be rewarded for each clear.

Completing the Tower of Suffering will earn the player an Achievement.

Trivia

  • This game mode is based off the popular platforming game Jump King.
  • A Dead Beat (Mori Calliope Icon.pngMori Calliope fan) can be seen clinging to the tower's exterior.
  • At the 30% mark of the tower is a location full of prison cells and various paraphernalia that reference hololive English "Advent", the branch's third generation. In lore, the members of Advent were inmates in The Cell, a prison complex from which they escaped from.
    • The large blue banner features a blob-like smiling character officially called "Pokey", who serves as the mascot character for Advent.
    • The pink and blue doghouses reference the twins Mococo Abyssgard and Fuwawa Abyssgard respectively.
      • The sign in between the doghouses features the multiple fan misspellings (intentional or otherwise) of Mococo's name, such as "Mocojohn" and "Mogojan", with the latter especially being derived from a mishearing of Fuwawa's term of endearment "Moco-chan".
    • Nerissa Ravencroft can be seen in one of the cells, stating "My tummy hort..." [sic]
  • Finishing the tower without using any checkpoints and picking up all HoloCoin Icon.pngHoloCoins yields a maximum of 420 coins total.
  • In response to criticism regarding the difficulty of the Tower, Kay Yu stated he plans to add a separate category for difficult achievements, and will move completing the Tower to this new category.[1]

I want to create a separate list of special achievements that are more cruel and painful to get, but won't be counted towards the main achievement percentage, and won't be on Steam.”
