Trivia

  • Minato Aqua is one of the playable characters based on retired hololive members (See: retired members).
    • She graduated on 28 August 2024.
  • Cleaning Broom Icon.pngCleaning Broom and Cleaning Maid Icon.pngCleaning Maid refer to Aqua's lore where she is a Marine Maid.[1]
    • Cleaning Maid Icon.pngCleaning Maid's crit damage-within-range effect and Cleaning Broom Icon.pngCleaning Broom's attack pattern reference Aqua's inability to do any housework despite her being a maid. Aqua has an entire song dedicated to this inconsistency, as well as her alternative title, Nekomimi Gamer Marine Maid.[2]
    • Cleaning Maid Icon.pngCleaning Maid was originally named "Gamer Maid", but was changed by Kay as the name matches neither the effect nor the rest of Aqua's in-game representation.[3]
  • Neko as originally drawn by Aqua
NEKO Icon.pngNEKO is Aqua's crudely-drawn mascot and was originally created due to her being jealous of other cat owners among her (small) social group.[4]
    • A better drawn, but still derpy, version of Neko is used as her all-purpose mascot appearing as her army of helpers.[5]
  • Sololive Icon.pngSololive is a popular nickname for Aqua due to her infamous introversion and social anxiety, which tends to manifest as her playing solo even in normally cooperative games such as Apex Legends, ARK, and Minecraft.
  • Legendary Idol Icon.pngLegendary Idol is a reference to her Graduation Livestream where she reached the peak highest CCV (Concurrent View) of any VTuber stream since hololive's own Kiryu Coco's Graduation.[6] The tiara in the icon is a reference to her 3D sololive idol dress, which was the last outfit she wore while smiling to the audience one final time.[7]
    • Legendary Idol Icon.pngLegendary Idol replaced the skill Klutz Icon.pngKlutz, which had the effect of "Gain 1 additional Projectile to all Multi-Shot weapons, but there is a 30%/20%/10% chance the projectiles deal half damage."
    • The use of the term "Legendary Idol" is likely both a nod to Kiryu Coco, who also gained the title of "Legendary" on her graduation, as well as Aqua's idol career in hololive.
  • Aqua's HP being 44.5 is a reference to a Wii Fit stream where she accidentally revealed her weight being 44.5 kg (≈ 98.1 lbs). The number became a code for Aqua and is spammed by her fans to reference her.[8]
    • As of Version 0.7, Aqua has the lowest base HP of all the characters in-game.
