Once the skill has been selected, traffic cones, bicycles and toilet seats have a chance drop from defeated enemies. These objects are indicated by a blue beam.
The objects are attracted towards Coco at when roughly within half of her current Pick Up Range. A new object cannot be picked up before the currently held object is thrown.
The objects are thrown at the aimed direction when an enemy comes close enough from any direction. Traffic cones deal low damage, bicycles deal medium damage and toilet seats deal high damage. Enemies hit also receive a knockback.
Objects can be picked up and thrown also while True Dragon Form is active.

When unlocked, Dragon Heat Action adds a dragon heat gauge to the bottom-left of the screen, with markers at 50% and 75% of the gauge denoting which ability Coco will use when activating her Special Attack:
At 50%-74% charge, Coco will equip and fire a machine gun, aimed in the same direction as her katana.
At 75%-99% charge, Coco will launch a high-explosive Plug Type Asacoco grenade with the strength and radius of an I'm Die, Thank You Forever bomb charge, aimed in the same direction as her katana.
The dragon heat gauge is colour-coded, with blue (not enough charge), yellow (machine gun), orange (Asacoco grenade launcher), and red (true dragon form), respectively.
With her GMMF skill, Coco is the only character in the game naturally able to use Injection Type Asacoco without incurring its HP drain penalty, due to the skill completely negating the item's negative effect. This is different from other characters, who use healing skills to offset the HP drain.
Since all Asacoco weapons provide lifesteal due to this skill, rapid-fire collabs such as (fittingly) Dragon Fire and Holy Fire work very well in combination with it.
Kiryu Coco is one of the playable characters based on retired hololive members (See: retired members).
She graduated on 01 July 2021.
She is currently the only hololive member who had graduated prior to being added to HoloCure.
Dragon Katana is based on her fanlore where she is the Matriarch of the Kiryu (yakuza) Clan. The lore originated from her obsession with Japanese yakuza media and particularly Sega's Ryu Ga Gotoku (Yakuza/Like a Dragon) franchise and its main character Kiryu Kazuma.[1][2]
The katana in a modern context is associated with Japanese yakuza not only due to the real life use of the weapon by said group, but also from Japanese movies which linked yakuza to romanticized samurai ronin.[3]
True Dragon Form is based on her debut lore where her true form is that of a giant pink dragon who fell onto the Hololive Office, injuring YAGOO. Coco was thus forced to stream as a VTuber to pay for his medical bill.[4]
Dragon of Hololive is a common fan nickname, derived from the fact that Coco is literally a dragon as well as the moniker of her namesake and husbando Kiryu Kazuma, the "Dragon of Dojima".
The skill's effect is based on the combat mechanic of the beat'em up Yakuza games where players could pick-up nearby objects to use as weapons and projectiles.[5]
Dragon Heat Action is based on the "Heat Actions" mechanic of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games. In the Yakuza games, Heat Actions are finishing moves which require the player to built up a "Heat" bar to use. The playable character would perform a different move depending on various factors, such as "are they near a railing", "what weapon are they holding", "is the player drunk", etc.[6]Dragon Heat Action'sSpecial Attack switching mechanic is directly based on this.
The machine gun special is a reference to Coco's liberal use of guns in her many 3D streams.[7][8]
Coco's use of a grenade (or possibly missile) launcher may be a reference to her using an M202 FLASH in several episodes of Holo no Graffiti, including her debut episode.[9]
GMMF is a reference to Coco's iconic Asacoco News/Live series (See: Breathe-In Type Asacoco#Trivia, Injection Type Asacoco#Trivia, and Plug Type Asacoco#Trivia). The skill icon is a pixelated version of the Asacoco Live logo; its lifesteal effect when using Asacoco items/weapons could be a reference to the creative fake ads segments serving as a way to encourage fans to send themed Super Chats, thus "draining" their wallets.
Its name is the abbreviation for her greeting from one of the Asacoco stream, "Good Morning Motherf**kers!". The catchphrase itself came from one of the skits where Coco showed a hypothetical English version of Asacoco in which the script was translated into the most profanity-laden version of English possible, including changing the greeting from the "merely" informal "Okite! Okite! Okite!" (Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!) to the intentionally vulgar "Good Morning Motherf**kers!" (among other F-bombs).[10] The phrase subsequently became iconic and Coco would frequently use it alongside her existing catchphrase, especially when talking with her non-Japanese fans.[11]
Coco is currently the only hololive JP character whose eyes are clearly looking to the left in her icon (See Character List for comparison).
